Honor 20 Pro, Honor 20, Honor 20 Lite Launched: Highlights

The Honor 20 series of smartphones has officially been launched at an event in London. The Honor 20 Pro was the first smartphone to be launched at the event. Honor also unveiled the Honor 20 at this event. The focus on these two smartphones has been the cameras. Honor 20 price has been revealed and it’s EUR 499 (roughly Rs. 39,000), whereas the Honor 20 Pro has been priced at EUR 599 (roughly Rs. 46,000). Honor 20 Lite, with a triple rear camera has also been launched at this event. Honor 20 Lite price is EUR299 (roughly Rs. 23,000).

Honor 20 Pro specifications 

The Honor 20 Pro is a new flagship smartphone with a hole-punch dispay and a 48-megapixel primary camera. It has a 91.7 percent screen-to-body ratio along with a curved display that Honor calls 3D curved glass. The Honor 20 Pro has a 6.26-inch Full-HD+ display with a resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels at 442 pixels per inch. It has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, which is placed on the power button. Honor 20 Pro will be available in two colours — Phantom Blue and Phantom Black.

The front camera is housed in the hole in the display. There’s a quadruple camera setup with a significant camera bump at the back of the smartphone. There’s a 48-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.4 aperture, 16-megapixel ultra-wide angle sensor with an f/2.2 aperture, and an 8-megapixel telephoto lens with an f/2.4 aperture. The telephoto lens has 3x optical zoom. The final camera is a 2-megapixel macro camera with an f/2.4 aperture which supports 4cm macro photography. It has a 32-megapixel selfie shooter at the front.

The device is powered by the Kirin 980 SoC, has 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. Honor says the company has used the graphene sheet cooling technology to keep the CPU temperature under control even when it is under stress.

The Honor 20 Pro has a 4,000mAh battery with a 22.5-watt charger in the box. Honor claims that the smartphone can be charged up to 50 percent in 30 minutes. The smartphone uses a USB Type-C port at the bottom and doesn’t have a headphone jack.

On the software front, the Honor 20 Pro runs Magic UI 2.0 based on Android 9 Pie. The Honor 20 Pro weighs approximately 182 grams.

Honor 20 has been launched in two colours — Midnight Black and Icelandic White. Honor 20 is powered by the Kirin 980 SoC, has 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. Honor 20 has a quadruple rear camera setup, with a 48-megapixel primary sensor, 16-megapixel ultrawide camera, a 2-megapixel depth assist camera, and a 2-megapixel macro camera. It has a 32-megapixel selfie camera. 

The Honor 20 has a 6.26-inch display with a pixel density of 412 pixels per inch. The battery capacity of the Honor 20 is 3,750mAh. It has a 22.5W charger in the box. The device weighs around 174g. 

Honor 20 Lite specifications

Honor 20 Lite features the Kirin 710 SoC, 4GB RAM, 128GB Storage, and is powered by EMUI 9.0 based on Android 9 Pie. The smartphone has a 6.21-inch FHD+ display with a pixel density of 415 pixels per inch. It has a 32-megapixel front camera. There’s a triple rear camera setup on this phone with 24-megapixel primary sensor, 8-megapixel secondary sensor, and a 2-megapixel sensor.
